Shame on You Watauga County

Watauga County employees have been switched to a system of health care insurance which is called "health savings accounts." This system literally means that a person has a bank account and that bank account is to cover any and all medical expenses. If you have half a functioning brain cell in your head you know that medical costs are through the roof, as high as they have ever been, and you would have to have one hell of an account with Chase Manhattan to cover the cost of a serious medical problem. Yea, maybe if you make a ton of money this is a viable means of health care, but how many employees of Watauga County are millionares? How many Watauga County employees can afford to put thousands and thousands of dollars away for the fear of a rainy day? This is simply a case of the haves and the have nots. Shame on you Watauga County. Shame on everyone for allowing this to happen. Watauga County employees no longer have health insurance, they have pathetic accounts that account for nothing. America is supposed to be better than this. We are supposed to do the best we can to take care of each other. Health savings accounts are not a viable means of paying for health care costs, period, end of story. That Watauga County commisioners and Watauga County employess let this happen is a real shame. I once left this place to see if the horizon held anything better and I could find none. Knowing now how my home treats the people who work for it, I guess I should have kept looking...What a shame.

You Get a Job

You know what you get when a rich man tells a poor man to get a job? You get the American Dream is what you get. As long as human beings have known about the accumulation of wealth, human beings have used that wealth to control each other. It's never been about freedom, or happiness, or any other patriotic words or phrases; it has always been about power and control. The biggest issue of the day is jobs, well fuck that. A bunch of ultra rich, ultra powerful assholes telling everyone that jobs will save the future of America. The only problem with that is that the very same rich assholes running their sucks about jobs are the very same selfish, arrogant pricks who won't pay a decent wage for work. Fuck you sorry ass pieces of elephant shit! The more you move your mouths the more I hope for a stray fucking asteroid to come along and once again even the playing field. Jobs will not save the United States of America. Compassion, understanding, generosity, and love are the things that could save us, but those of us with the most to give have chosen another path, and so this nation's job will forever be digging ourselves out of a bottomless pit...poop
