It is what it is and it's really jacked up. May God have mercy on us for becoming what we have become.

Iraqi Tears, American Shame
Back in the nineties, the days of my youth, I would have been hard pressed to imagine a scenario in which I looked upon the United States in the way that I do now. I would have never dreamed that America would engage in preemptive war with no good cause whatsoever. It simply would not be possible. Not after Vietnam; no way. In March 2003 everything I thought I knew about my country was erased and replaced with a new sense of horror that I was a citizen of a country turned rotten. If within your brain there exists one half of a half of a functioning cell it would have been easy to reason that invading Iraq was a very bad idea. Instead, the greatest amongst us, who we put in charge of all of our assets, lied into existence a war that should have never been. On this day , December 2, 2011, the United States turned over Camp Victory to the Iraqi government. What cannot be turned over are the lives that have been lost during the course of this conflict. We cannot return Iraqi lives and in turn they cannot return American lives. We, the United States of America, started the War in Iraqi. We did it. It is our responsibility. It is our shame. The worst war we ever fought, with the most American casualties, was the Civil War with roughly 620,000 killed. Many, many more than that have died in Iraq because of our actions there. They, just like us, will move into a future minus many of their best and bravest because of lies and deceit. Saddam Hussein was a bad, bad man. He was a brutal son of a bitch and he killed with ease. Even his evil ass wasn't capable of killing as many Iraqis as this war has. Our bombs and bullets and high explosives did the same thing to the Iraqi people as Saddam's bombs and bullets and high explosives, they killed them. All we really accomplished was to unleash within the Iraqi society, an element of assholes that Saddam Hussein had under control. People who fancy themselves capable of enacting God's Law are beyond all reason, no man is capable of it, period. They now run amuck in Iraq, and their actions will always echo down the hallways of this shameful house we have built. Their explosions are our explosions and will be forever more. May God have mercy on us all for what we have allowed ourselves to become, it is terribly shameful.
