An America bright shinning set on top of a hill
Oh what a promise, oh what a thrill
Her eyes ever gazing up into the sky
A model of freedom in the sweet bye and bye
Only a memory now she remains
Tucked far away in the backs of our brains
Now she has become greedy and mean
Allowing terrible things while her conscious seems clean
Hiding the shame and hiding the guilt
She's pulled wealth over her head, like money's a quilt
Riches cannot save her, where she has gone
She left righteousness behind for far, far, too long
An America bright shinning from the deep depths of hell
Oh what a lie, oh what a tale
