Three Empty Words

The way the United States Government is describing the newest initiative in ending the War in Afghanistan is "fight, talk, build." We have been fighting there now for over ten years. We have been talking there now for over ten years. We have been building there now for over ten years. Fight, talk, build? More empty words about an empty policy involving an empty war. Afghanistan is Afghanistan, the place will always be what it is. The Taliban are the Taliban and they'll always be who they are. The people of Afghanistan have always been responsible for the people of Afghanistan. Foreign peoples have rarely fared well while putting up their tents on Afghani soil. The three words the United States needs to be using concerning our involvement in Afghanistan are pack, up, and leave. It ain't about Osama anymore, hell, it hasn't been about Osama for a very long time now. It actually may be about the Taliban, but we've resorted to talks with those assholes, and that is just sickening. If you are going to fight a collection of people with the beliefs that are inherent to the Taliban, you fight, kill, destroy; those are the words you use to describe the only approach that will work with them. They believe they are man enough to enforce the Laws of God, so it is, that you must send them to Him before they learn the folly of their ways. Fuck talking to the Taliban, and fuck any human being who would want to be governed by them. Please United States of America leave that place be, and quit using, accepting, and not caring about words like fight, talk, and build. Know who you're fighting, understand the words you speak, and start building hope, some kind of hope... please.
