We came into being because of an idea, a thought, a principle;
Freedom
We came from all places seeking, and yearning, and hoping for,
Knowledge
We are not white, black, brown, yellow, or tan, we are,
Americans
We are not republicans, or democrats, or red, or blue; we are
Human Beings
We have stumbled, and bent, and nearly broken; but we have,
Survived
We have forgotten our blessings, our mission, our faith, but we,
Remain
We have more wealth, and power, and prestige than most, and yet we are,
Poor
We will find ourselves wondering, and stumbling, and tumbling into the,
Wilderness
We will not make it fractured, or divided, or torn, for we are supposed to be,
One
